What a wonderful week. Me and Elder Coles found a really cool newinvestigator this week named Sean. He actually lives with members whojust moved into the ward. He is way cool and solid. Finding newinvestigators through members is so solid. On Sunday, a family in the ward invited Bill and Claudia over fordinner that night. It's so great to see the members reaching out tothem! This week was a great reminder of how awesome the work can be aswe involve the members of the ward. Well I don't have a ton of timethis week, but I love you all and hope you have a great week!-Elder McGee

Hello Family & Friends!
This week was crazy! We talked to so many people, it was insane! It feels so good to go hard like that. And more than that, it feels so good to bring people to Jesus Christ and his church. This last Wednesday is when my greenie (Elder Coles) came in. He's a really cool guy, right outta high school.  Being a trainer has been a huge motivator for me. He's got this thing I call "Greenie Fire" which is just this awesome desire to learn and go out and work hard. I hope I was able to help him have a good first week of his mission. We gave this guy named Tim a church tour this week. I love those so much! They feel the Spirit that's in the building and right by the baptismal font is the perfect place to invite someone to come unto Christ through baptism. Bill is working towards baptism on the 29th of August. The last time me and Elder Loumeau went over to Bill's before transfers he told us that he had heard word the previous day that his mother had been diagnosed with some condition or disease that the doctors only gave her about 6 months to live. The news messed him up pretty good but he told us the first thing he thought of when he got the news was that she needs to be baptized by priesthood authority. That alone shocked both me and Elder Loumeau. But then he asked us if Claudia could be baptized for his mom after she died (P.S. We had talked about temples and baptisms for the dead in the past, so they knew the basics of the doctrine). And that was an incredible opportunity to testify of temples and baptisms for the the dead and explain more about the Spirit World. They are so amazing! Being a missionary is too legit to quit. I hope I can be a good trainer for Elder Coles. There were a couple times this week where I felt kind of inadequate or under qualified to train a new missionary. And honestly, I probably am. HahaBut I've gained a testimony over the past year that the Lord qualifies who he calls, our capacities can be stretched only through and because of the Atonement, and as we pray like it all depends on God and work like it all depends on us the Lord provides miracles. I know that "...with God, All things are Possible" Mark 10:27. I love you all so much and hope you have a great week! SHNITZEL. Love, Elda McGeezy

Yeah Buddy!

This week was definitely an awesome week! Me and Elder Loumeau went hecka hard this week. We're still continuing to find some awesome people whom are receptive to learning more about the restored gospel. Definitely still meet a lot of bible bashers as well though. Haha BUT, mine and Elder Loumeau's dynamic duo is coming to an end on Wednesday at Transfers. We found out today some pretty crazy news. Elder Loumeau's leaving and I am going to be training a brand new missionary!!!!!!!! I'm really excited for the opportunity to be a trainer. This will be my fourth transfer here in the Auburn Hills Ward in Wichita. I really have grown to love it here! I have changed so much through the Atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The companions I have had throughout my mission have also taught me so much. The mission is just an amazing time to access the Atonement and to lose yourself to find yourself. I know that new missionaries are very impressionable, and that a missionaries trainer can affect his whole mission. I'm excited to teach and pass on everything I've learned on my mission as well as learn from him as well. I'll let you know how it is next week. Hope you guys have a great week! :) love ya! - Elder McGee

Tight!!

Hello, as you might've guessed from the subject line, this week wasTIGHT! Claudia got baptized on Saturday and it was a phenomenalbaptismal service! Bill is way excited to get baptized in the comingweeks as well. They are such a solid, amazing family that I have trulygrown to love. It's amazing Bill was just a street contact threemonths ago. I feel so grateful the Lord allowed them to be put in mypath. They know exactly what they are getting into and they love it.It's truly a miracle. There were other miracles this week as well. Wehave been working with members more. And we got 2 non-member referralsthis week from members. Which is huge! Super sweet, we definitely willsee more and more miracles as we continue to not only serve and gainthe trust of the members of this ward, but also as we have short yetspiritual experiences with them in their homes. I really love being amissionary and I love my mission. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Ihope you have a marvelous week. :)-Elda McGeezy

Greetings

Greetings,
Well folks, life is good here in Kansas. It's very, very hot here these days just like I'm sure it is back home. But it's also extremely humid though, which causes me to get all sweaty. And I'm not one to sweat a lot so that's saying something. But as far as the work goes it's going quite well. It's pretty hard to find new people to teach in this area but when you do, they are typically pretty solid and accountable. This couple that hasn't been active in a while, finally came to church this week. I've been trying to catch them ever since I got here, but these last three weeks we have been able to talk with them much more. I loved seeing them at church! I love seeing those who haven't been very active in the church coming back just as much as I love seeing someone get baptized into Christ's church. Speaking of baptism...Claudia (Bill's wife) is getting baptized this Saturday!!! Super Exciting! And Bill is planning on getting baptized in two weeks or so. He just needs more time to get off his E-Cig thing and then he'll be completely rid of all Word of Wisdom issues. But more importantly they both have testimonies of the truthfulness of everything we've shared, and they are ready to act on it. I feel so lucky to have been able to have been apart of their spiritual growth and journey from when me and Elder Potter first found Bill as just a street contact, to now when me and Elder Loumeau get to see them enter into the waters of baptism. Yesterday was their 4th time at church but their first time staying for all 3 hours. And they liked it and everyone was so nice to them and it was great! :) Love you guys, and hope you have a great week!! -Elda McGeezy

Hellooooo

Hellooooo Errbody!
This week was pretty sweet! We had Bill and his Fam come to church and two less active members we been working with come to church as well. Super awesome! Getting people to church, is absolutely KEY to their progression for many reasons. But we had a SICK miracle this week that started off as a tragedy. It's regarding Bill and his Word of Wisdom struggles. So we had this lesson planned on Thursday night with Bill and Claudia but we were going to do it at the church building this time instead of their house, mostly because we wanted to show them the baptismal font. Cause they've been to church twice before but haven't seen the font yet so we thought we'd have a lesson at the church and show them the font. So anyways, Thursday morning we call Claudia to see if it's still good and she's like, "Well, I'll have to get back to you boys cause I'm actually going to the hospital right now to meet Bill cause he left work cause he was in a lot of pain". So we were worried about him. So after we get off the phone we say a prayer for Bill and go on with our day. Later on Claudia calls us and tells us that she'll still come to the lesson at the church tonight, but she'll be by herself. Well, at the church we had an awesome, and spiritual experience with Claudia. And she told us that Bill was fine but that he was passing a kidney stone. She also told us that the doctor told him that he had to stop drinking coffee and alcohol altogether. And she said when the doc said that, that Bill immediately looked at Her and thought of us and that he took it as a sign. WHOA! So that was crazy. I have really thought about why God did that for him. Cause we kept telling Bill that he wasn't going to receive a spiritual witness that the Word of Wisdom is from God, truly modern revelation, until he took a step into the dark in faith and started to live it and then he would see the blessings and get his witness. Because he has a testimony, I know he does. But he was pretty stubborn about the word of wisdom. But anyways, I thought of Jonah in the Old Testament and how it took being swallowed by a big fish for his will to be aligned with God's will and to go to the city and preach. God won't ever take away our agency but he's definitely down to give us a big push if that's what it takes. I'm really excited for all the blessings God has in store for Bill and his family. I really have grown to love them. I love all you guys so much too, and hope you have a great week! - Elder McGee

Independence Day

Hey Fam and Friends!
I hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying their Summer. So this week was not as successful for us. A LOT of appointments were either no shows or were cancelled. There are still a lot of good things happening in this area though, we've definitely got progressing investigators whom are moving towards baptism. We just got to continue working hard AND smart as well as praying like an agent so we can see more miracles this week. But Independence Day was fun. We BBQ'd with a Fam in the ward and saw fireworks and stuff. Kansas goes hard on 4th of July, let me tell ya. Anybody can buy any kind of firework so it's crazy, no joke like a war zone. But I was just thinking how incredibly blessed we are to live in this country, and have the freedoms that we have. I'm also so grateful for those who have given their time, talents, and even their lives for this country. They truly gave everything "to defend themselves, and their families, and their lands, their country, and their rights, and their religion" (Alma 43:47) as the Nephites did when at war against the Lamanites. There are definitely countries that got it much worse. That's definitely something to ponder. But yeah, have a great week and keep loving life. Peace!- Elda McGeezy
