It was full of good times and miracles! BTW, I hope everyone enjoyed my awkward voice recording last week ;)But something that was super cool this week was this church tour we gave this week. So I mentioned last week that we found a bunch of new homies to teach all on one street, called Plass Street.Well one of them was this older couple named Steve and Kim. Steve, coinicidentally happened to be a member of the church already. He was a convert and was baptized back in like 1980. But he hasn't been to church in like 20 years. And his wife is not a member. But she is super open and receptive, and is on date to be baptized on the 28th of this month. It was a straight up miracle we ran into them. they were just sitting on their porch and we walked up to them and started talking and one thing lead to another and we had taught the message of the Restoration and invited her to be baptized. So cool! Then on Saturday We gave them a tour of them church building and during those you give a lesson about the sacrament and baptism. And we had this member from the ward with us as we gave the church tour. His name was Brother Albright. He was the perfect fellowship for them! He is a convert, who used to be methodist just like she was and he used to be a heavy smoker like she used to be as well. But she's kinda sick these days, but is still super up and about. But she's super excited to be baptized! At the end of the church tour we explained what a priesthood blessing was and how we like anoint with oil just like Christ used to. And they both wanted one. So I gave Steve a blessing of comfort and counsel and Elder Stum gave a blessing to Kim with the consecrated oil and everything. But the blessing that came out my mouth was like the best experience ever! And I say it like that cause it wasn't me AT ALL. It was straight from Heavenly Father to this man. It is so cool have the spirit fill your mouth like that. And when I had finished the blessing on Steve Kim had some tears in her eyes. But then Elder Stum gave her a blessing and she was straight up crying. It was so cool to be able to see the Spirit just pierce her heart. I love the priesthood and I hope to always be a worthy holder of it. Then they came to church yesterday! But only for sacrament meeting though cause she wasn't feeling to hot but she said she liked it. I'm just so grateful to have been able to be apart of her journey towards baptism and Steve's journey towards re-activating. They are both awesome!I love my mission! I honestly wouldn't trade being here in Kansas for anywhere in the world! hahahaAnd my mother asked that I share a brief testimony to the youth who are considering serving a mission. Well to that I say that there is nothing more important that I could be doing back home than what I'm doing right now. Which not only includes helping others come unto Christ and come back to Christ. But you grow yourself so much as well as you lose yourself in the work. The most important convert I have on my mission will be myself. I've learned more about myself than I ever could have back home and there is no better time than on a mission to access and apply the Atonement of Christ. On that note it's never to late to get back on track to serving a mission and ultimately to our Heavenly Father. I love you all and hope you have a great week! -Elder McGee
